SWAMI IS WITH US ALL THE TIME - 1 JUNE 2009
My humble pranams at the lotus feet of our beloved Bhagavan. Sai Ram respected elders, brothers and sisters. I am P.Vaishnavee from group two. Today I would like to share with you some interesting experiences.
Since I started SSE classes at the age of 4, I was privileged to hear many interesting stories about Swami and his leelas. Most of them have made me laugh as gurus always tell us stories that display Swami’s great sense of humor. Let me share one such story.
Once a devotee got up late and was rushing for darshan. As he was running late, he did not have his bath. When he reached darshan, Swami addressed the group and said “Today, somebody here did not have his bath!” The devotee was shocked that Swami knew about this. So the next day, the devotee got up early and used up 10 buckets of water to have his shower. He proudly went for darshan thinking that Swami would be pleased. To his surprise Swami addressed the group again and said “Today, somebody used 10 buckets of water to have his bath.” The devotee was dumbfounded that Swami even knew exactly how many buckets of water he had used.
This shows us that Swami is with us all the time. Can you imagine! He knows everything we do, no matter where we are, even in the bathroom! This story has made me very conscious of my words and actions. I feel that Swami is with me all the time. So I ask him for help even for the smallest thing.
I really mean the smallest thing. There have been many times when we needed a taxi urgently to go for my tuition classes. My mum and I just call out to Swami for help.We say “Swami, please Swami we need a taxi urgently, Help!” Before we know it a Taxi arrives. It is so strange that sometimes we are in a queue and there would be so many people before us. The taxi that arrives would be bearing the name of our destination as if it was sent just for us. It is really funny when we think about it. But it just shows Swami’s love for us.
Recently, I was very nervous about my Tamil Exams. It is my worst subject. I prayed to Swami to help me. I chanted the Gayathiri mantra before I opened the paper. When I started writing, it was as if Swami was just telling me all the answers. When the results came out, I superseded everyone’s expectations. What seemed to be my worst subject became my best subject. Thank you Swami
Swami was very kind to us during my second trip to Parthi. I was four years old then. My mother was so worried about me because I could not pass a day without eating chicken. She packed so many delicious chocolate biscuits and cereals as she was so worried about my food. I would not eat any vegetable before the trip.
I guess Swami must have heard her prayer loud and clear. To everyone’s surprise, I adjusted so well to the food in Parthi. In fact I enjoyed it so much that I started eating vegetables and I forgot all about chicken throughout the trip. I started eating vegetables and am now vegetarian two or three times a week. What seemed so impossible then, is so very possible now! That is the love of our Mother Sai.He takes such good care of us, attending to every little need of ours like how a mother would take care of her child. He transforms us into beautiful embodiments of love through his divine grace. May Swami continue to shower his love to all of us.
